Import your existing brain
Already keep memory in GBrain, an Obsidian vault, or a folder of Markdown notes? Bring it into Nysa so every teammate’s agent can use it. Your agent does the work; you approve the preview.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”- Your agent needs file access and a shell, so it can find the folder and upload it. Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenClaw and Hermes all work.
- Sign in with OAuth, or use an API key with Read and write permission that includes your Personal scope (or all scopes).
- Your role must be able to add knowledge (owner, admin or member).
- Ask your agent to import. For example: “Import my GBrain into Nysa” or “Bring my Obsidian vault into Nysa.”
- Your agent packages it. It finds the brain on your computer, in a repository you name, or on your server, and uploads it unchanged. You never make a zip yourself. The upload link lasts 15 minutes.
- Check the preview. Your agent shows which people, companies and notes will be added. Nothing is imported yet.
- Confirm. Say yes and Nysa creates the people, companies and notes. Repeating the confirmation is safe.
- Follow progress. Ask “What’s the status of my import?” at any time.
“Try a small test” means upload and show the preview only.
What happens to imported notes
Section titled “What happens to imported notes”- Imported notes follow the same scopes as everything else.
- Notes become facts with their source, like any other note.
- You can undo the whole import in one step from Settings in the web app.
Supported formats
Section titled “Supported formats”| Format | Use for |
|---|---|
