OpenClaw

Connect Nysa so your OpenClaw agent works from what your whole team knows: customers, decisions, commitments and meetings. OpenClaw usually runs on a server without a browser, so it signs in with an API key that acts as you.

  1. In Nysa, open Settings → API keys and create a key named after the agent. Keys are read only by default; choose Read and write only if the agent must update the brain.

  2. Store the key as the environment variable NYSA_API_KEY on the machine where OpenClaw runs. Never paste it into a chat.

  3. Paste this into your agent’s chat and it sets itself up:

Connect to the Nysa MCP server (https://mcp.usenysa.com/mcp). Setup steps: https://docs.usenysa.com/llms.txt

Or add the server yourself: a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) at https://mcp.usenysa.com/mcp with the header Authorization: Bearer <key>.

  4. Start a new session so the agent loads the Nysa tools.

AreaWhat OpenClaw can do
Company brainSearch what your team knows from meetings, email and notes, brief you on a person or company, and add or correct facts.
MeetingsFind recent meetings, see who was in them, read summaries and transcripts you have access to, and list your commitments.
People, companies and projectsBrowse the directory, read projects, and link meetings to a project.
Knowledge and skillsRead how your team works, and find or save playbooks for your agents.
CalendarRead your own calendar events. If your workspace turns on calendar changes, schedule, move or cancel meetings you organize and turn recording on or off, only when you ask.
Your memoryRead and update your private notes for OpenClaw, like nicknames and priorities.

See every tool in the tools reference.

Already keep memory in GBrain, an Obsidian vault, or a folder of Markdown notes? Ask OpenClaw to import it. OpenClaw shows you a preview of the people, companies and notes it will add, and nothing changes until you say yes. Imported notes follow the same scopes as everything else, and you can undo the whole import in one step. Importing needs an agent with file access and a shell, like Claude Code or Codex.

Full guide: Import your existing brain.

  • Scoped to you: OpenClaw sees only what your Nysa account can see.
  • Checked every call: leave the workspace and the next request is denied. Each call is audited.
  • Writes only when you ask: OpenClaw updates Nysa only on request, and changes your calendar only if your workspace allows it. It can't send email.

Problem Fix
401 invalid_token or “Your API key is no longer valid” The key is expired, revoked, or copied wrong. Create a new one and update NYSA_API_KEY.
“This API key is read-only” The agent tried to write. Create a Read and write key.
Tools don’t appear Start a new session after connecting.
Meetings or people are missing A key sees only what you can see, limited to the scopes chosen when it was created.
